Accessibility

Last updated October 30, 2026

In plain English

Everyone should be able to use this site, whatever device or assistive technology they use. If something gets in your way, tell me and I’ll fix it.

1. The goal

I aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Accessibility is part of how I build every site, for my own business and for my clients.

2. What’s in place

  • Readable text: text colors are checked for contrast against their backgrounds.
  • Keyboard friendly: menus, buttons, forms and questions can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
  • Less motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, animations on this site are turned off or kept still.
  • Images: meaningful images have text descriptions; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
  • Structure: pages use real headings, lists and landmarks so screen readers can move around easily.
  • Zoom: pages work when zoomed in and on small phone screens, without sideways scrolling.

3. Known limits

  • Older blog posts were moved over from the previous website, and some images in them may not have full descriptions yet. I’m working through them.
  • Outside tools such as the Calendly booking page are run by other companies. I choose tools that take accessibility seriously, but I can’t control every part of them.

4. Tell me about a problem

If you have trouble using any part of this site, or need information in a different format, please send a message. Let me know the page and what happened, and I’ll get back to you and work on a fix.

5. For clients

Every website I build for clients is checked for contrast, keyboard use, image descriptions and reduced motion before it launches. If you’d like your current site checked, mention it when you ask for a free website audit.
